B.__(?) 1020 E. Highland Acreas Road, Bismarck, N.D.
Dennis Cowan says, “I have always kept in touch with Ricky. We are about the same age and used to stay in Douglas
with our grandparents. After Dud’s second marriage, he no longer came out to N.D., therefore we lost contact with
one another. When I was a sophomore in college, my brother, Jim was out with his friends at a small campus
tavern when he looked up at this fellow and was sure that he knew him but wasn’t sure who it was. Anyway, I was
very pleased to be awoken by the pair at 1:00 in the morning. When Ricky was married in Williston, my brother, Bill and I were in the wedding party. Interestingly, Floyd Penfield and his wife, Hildegard attended this wedding party and aroused my curiosity enough to start my genealogical work.” Rick married Cheryl Slatten and they have two boys:
Greg who is 19 (1993) and Mike who is in the eighth grade. Both of the boys enjoy running.
